 A surreal dance drama unfolds like a cautionary, urban fairy tale. A young girl, raised by wild rabbits, is told she must return to human society when she comes of age. She hops a ride to the city in the back of a pickup truck and then begins her descent into an urban rabbit-hole. – M.S.L
Alec Kinnear completed his degree in Modern Literature and Theatre from the University of Toronto. After writing on dance for many years, Alec is now devoting his film knowledge to work specifically with dance film. Lapinthrope features the choreography of Kathleen Rea and Anna Hein.
Kathleen Rea is a graduate of the National Ballet School. In 2000, Kathleen formed REAson d’etre productions. Kathleen is a recipient of the prestigious Choo San Goh Choreographic Award and her full-length ballet, the Velveteen Rabbit, is currently being performed by Ballet Jorgen Canada on tour across North America.
