LOCATION To celebrate Planet In Focus, the National Film Board of Canada Mediatheque will present a special edition of its weekly animation workshop Can’t Sit Still on Sunday, October 2 from 10:30 am – 12 noon. In this exciting hands-on workshop little ones aged 3 – 5 watch animated movies from the NFB’s 65-year history then create their own animated mini-movie. This week, workshop participants get involved in the environment, using paper cut-out animation techniques to animate their favourite trees as their leaves change colour for autumn. Celebrating the festival, both Can't Sit Still and Open House (for ages 6 -13) are FREE to all aspiring animators on Sunday, October 2. As a special Planet In Focus feature, workshop creations will be shown on the big screen in the NFB Cinema from 3 – 6 pm! Admission to these screenings is FREE for workshop participants. Please note that an adult, at no extra charge, must accompany each child. Reservations are recommended. Call 416-973-3012 to reserve.
