Economies of Scale
Brenda Goldstein, Canada, experimental, 4 min., 2003

Filmed during three, three-hour rush hour periods, Economies of Scale explores the opposition between the fast pace of business and the slow but gradual change of the world. Butoh Dance expresses intense emotions through slow, controlled and sometimes distorted movements. – M.S.L.

Brenda Goldstein a mixed media video-artist and writer is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design specializing in Integrated Media. Her work has been shown at the AGO's petit guide de video, YYZ, the AKA Gallery's Bike Mobile Project, Zed TV, Pleasure Dome's New Toronto Works Show, the PDX film festival and this year she was a resident of Charles Street Video and Images Festivals- Fear Factory Project. She also writes for MIX Magazine and Spacing.
