Ursula Biemann, Switzerland, experimental, 20 min., 2003
 Europlex brings to mind Europe as one big shopping mall. Borders stand as security gates in between market stalls, but daily trade and labour criss-cross the gates raising questions of nation-hood, power and territory. This experimental documentary clocks the transgressions and transitions of border crossings at the Spanish/Moroccan borderlines and tracks the cultural and economic space between Europe and Africa. – M.S.L
Ursula Biemann studied Art and Critical Theory at the School of Visual Arts (BFA) and the Whitney Independent Study Program in New York. Her most recent publication is Been There and Back to Nowhere - On Gender in Transnational Spaces.
