 A bubble gem of a film! With funky subtitles and “Pop-up Video”-esque edits, this video spawns a fresh snapshot of the Chinese-Canadian community’s appreciation of the annual salmon run. – M.S.L.
Born in the Chinese province of Szechuan, Xia Tong lives to Vancouver, BC. After exploring the fields of seismology, advertising and visual art, Xia settled at the Emily Carr Institute where he was awarded the Best Fiction Award, 35th Montreal World Film Festival/28th Student Film Festival for his short, Fortune Cookies.
