PLANET IN FOCUS PROGRAMMER SELECTED AS A RECIPIENT OF 2005 CESAR E. CHAVEZ BLACK EAGLE AWARD

Min Sook Lee one of PIF's 2005 Festival Programmers has been selected as one of the recipients of the 2005 Cesar E. Chavez Black Eagle Award, presented by the United Farm Workers of America in association with the Canadian Labour Congress, Ontario Region and the Global Justice Carevan Project. This award is a project of the Cesar E. Chavez Foundation.

The award is in recognition of the contribution of her last documenatry 'El Contrato' made to the issue of migrant farmworker rights in Canada. Cesar Chavez is a personal hero of Min Sook and she is thrilled to have been selected.
