PIF Mixed Greens 2010

 

Can't wait until October to see fantastic environmental and social justice films? You don't have to! PIF screens top works from our previous festival the last Friday of every month at the Gardiner Museum. Check out the Mixed Greens schedule!

 

2010 Planet in Focus Environmental Film & Video Festival

 

Our 2010 festival runs from Wednesday, October 13th to Sunday, October 17th. We are currently accepting film submissions. Visit our submissions page for more information and our application form. The 2010 festival lineup will be announced in September. Stay tuned!

SPOTLIGHT: BIODIVERSITY

Our 2010 festival spotlight is on biodiversity.

 

FILM INDUSTRY SYMPOSIUM

The symposium schedule will be announced in September. Pre-register for sessions.

 

GREEN MARKET/BUSINESS CENTRE

The Green Market is the PIF business and sales hub for filmmakers, producers, broadcasters, commissioning editors, distributors and programmers. All PIF 2010 submissions will be available for viewing in this exclusive centre.

 

CHILDREN’S PROGRAM

Generously supported by the Zukerman Family Foundation & The National Film Board
An age appropriate screening program,presented with a special hands-on animation workshop, facilitated by The National Film Board. The animation workshop will focus on endangered species.

 

SCHOOL PROGRAM

Presented by the Ontario Teachers Federation
Unique environmental films are selected for Elementary/Junior and High School students and are presented in an enriched program with participating filmmakers, environmentalists, scientists and other specialists. This is a student’s gateway to an environmental view of the planet.

 

CLOSING NIGHT GALA, FILM AWARDS AND INDUSTRY/MEDIA ECO HERO AWARD

Watch the awards ceremony and our closing night film, then end the festival in style and celebration at our closing night reception.
