Almendro is one of the most impressive jungle trees in Costa Rica's rainforest. From root to top this unique tree accommodates almost one thousand different life forms, more than 60 animals species depend on its fruits. The film looks at the symbiotic relationship between the tree and the Great Green Macaw. But this alliance of two tropical beauties is now in danger: deforestation has darkened the future for both of them.
