In the aortic, implications of climate warming are already major and global. And above all, they are incredibly fast. In thirty years, temperatures have risen four time quicker in the arctic than in the rest of the world. In the last quarter century, ice flow's surface reduced 579 150 square miles. It could be cut by half before the end of the century and lead to the extinguishing of species which are ice dependent for food and reproduction. Also, with the melting of the ice caps and permafrost, the Gulf stream may not be temperating climate and playing its role anymore.
