Through the literal retracing of locations from my earlier video works beautiful lies looks back on the rural landscapes of my youth. These terrains act as archaeological sites that hold and release personal emotional memories. Longing, loss and absence are discovered and revealed through a patient and careful consideration of the landscape at dusk and dawn.
