Resilience defines an ambiguous landscape in 'between within', a collaboration between Canadian poet/spoken word performer Heather Hermant, Hungarian filmmaker Gergely Benyi, and Hungarian actress/director Eva Magyar. The film is a site-specific improvisation based on two poems by Hermant. Filmed in a mixed-use natural setting on the outskirts of Budapest, 'between within' captures the charged organic relationship between pursuer and pursued. 'pride' and 'drinking poems and pear juice in plopilor' were written in Budapest and Cluj, Romania, respectively, during the years that Hermant lived in Hungary. This film is co-directed by Hermant, Benyi and Magyar; written/spoken by Hermant; acted by Magyar; and filmed and edited by Benyi.
