The Child's Garden of Peace reflects three years of work with the children, their parents and grand parents of a neighbourhood called Bairro Centro Sul in Santo Angelo in southern Brazil in the state of Rio Grande do Sul near the border with Argentina. If you saw the film, The Mission, this town is one of those early Jesuit missions. Many of the families are descended from the Guarani Indians who are the original inhabitants of the region.
