In this film we meet and hear from the people of the agricultural region in southern Portugal. We hear about their tormented history of oppression and hunger. After the 1974 Revolution the dictatorship ended and we see they have begun agricultural cooperatives. The films rhythm mixes sadness with euphoria and the poetry of life.
