Tells the story of the Koeye watershed through the eyes of Heiltsuk children. The Heiltsuk territory includes a major portion of the Great Bear Rainforest of coastal BC. This pristine rainforest faces clearcutting by logging corporations. The film tells of how a unique blend of traditional and scientific knowledge is being caught at the Koeye Culture and Science Youth Camps. Our present generation of Heiltsuk youth will need incredible strength, knowledge and passion if they are to protect our way of life, which is tied so intimately to the land and sea that sustains us.
