Carapiru is a nomadic Brazilian Indian who escape from an attack of farmers against his group. For 10 years he wanders off in the sierras until he is captured 2000 km away from where he was. His identification as a Guaja by a 18 year old orphan Indian reunites father and son. Taken back to the Indian village, life there does not correspond to Carapiru's nomadic life style anymore.
