Jabaroot is a poetic documentary about diasporic Iranian music. What does it mean to look for the source of a certain music? How can one express the roots of something timeless, get close to the spirit of music itself? This film is a cinematic quest in images and sounds through the landscapes and traditions expressed by the music and poetry of generations of artists in Canada and in Iran.
