The ‘it’ in Love It More Than I Can Say refers to the toxic material featured in this film. I wanted to document the story of the treatment of toxic waste illegally dumped on one of Taiwan Sugar Corporation’s property. But I was denied permission to film on site. And no one dared testify on camera. One wonders, just how much scandal is hidden behind such a critical environmental crisis. Like a fly, I stick to these people. The waste management contractors had an unprecedented task on their hands. “They felt a great pride”. Each day the workers risked their life, completely unaware of the dangers of these toxic substances. They were sorry to see the end of it. How ironic that Taiwan Sugar called it “nothing proud to talk about”. As for me, all I can say is “Love it more than I can say”.
