In a dark forest a wandering man is frozen momentarily by a bright light up in the sky. When he returns in normal motion, he goes deeper into the woods and witnesses the appearance of a mysterious woman behind a tree. As he approaches her she disappears. The man gets into a car and leaves. Meanwhile, inside the forest, another man emerges from the ground and starts following the car. He steps near the edge of the road and as the car passes by him he flashlights the wandering man with a peculiar mechanical device. The driver freezes for a moment, comes back into full motion and leaves. He arrives at an unknown building. Inside he witnesses the two previous moments of his own self as large moving photographs. The woman of the tree emerges again. As they come to kiss, they freeze completely. A group of three men enters the hall and observes the place. One of them sees a piece of film on the floor. He picks it up and stares at the positive image of the woman imprinted upon the celluloid. He throws it away and exits
