The Parashant ( Know to locals as the Arizona Strip) is a swath of land in North Western Arizona over a million acres in size. The Grand Canyon cuts this area off from any major route south. This fact, along with the vast Desert to the West makes the Parashant one of the United States most remote and desolate landscapes. The controversy boils down to a fight over access to this Old West no-mans Land. The Passions Still rage today and the future of the Parashant remains as wide open as it's landscapes.
