What artistic source do the following have in common: Marlon Brando, Donald Sutherland, Joan Baez, Jackson Browne, Rod Stewart, Brian Wilson, The Byrds, The Grateful Dead, Oingo Bongo, Timothy Leary, Alliance for Survival, Greenpeace, Tree People, United Farm Workers, Black Panthers, Catholic Worker, ACLU, NOW, women's health guides and children's literature. They are among the over 300 'clients' of PEACE PRESS, a unique collective of L. A. activist-artists who created an 'alternative everything' printing/publishing business which sprang from college-age protesters of the Viet Nam War and flourished amidst U.S. counter-cultures 1967-87. Decades later, a L. A. Valley College film crew goes in search of the PEACE PRESS 'alumni' and its artworks...and any 'lessons' that might apply today, in 'Patriots Act...PEACE PRESS: the People's Printing Collective'.
