A father and son are the last remaining workers in the willowbeds along the tidal river "Oude Maas" in Holland. This is a special freshwater tidal which is found only in the Netherlands. In the past willowculture was very important and it employed many people. Now, due to a lack of demand for this wood and because the government wants to create primeval woods of the willowbeds, this culture is about to vanish. For the father & son this is a disaster as they have always worked in the wollowbeds.
