In 2003, Yolanda Gutierrez, an artist from Cozumel, Mexico, created the largest nature-based, site-specific sculpture of her career in the South Carolina Botanical Garden. Having only 28 days to design and realize her vision, and challenged with inclement weather, the task was accomplished with assistance from Clemson University students.
