In 1994 the Zapatistas reclaimed land in Chiapas's Lacandon jungle in southern Mexico to found the Autonomous Municipality of Emiliano Zapata. Since then, they have been building a new kind of society in which there are neither servants nor bosses. Members of the community ensure their autonomy by tending an organic vegetable garden and working collectively in all endeavours. This video, produced by indigenous video makers from the region, shows how collective work is the base of this new society.
