Planet in Focus is definitely the festival that I've had the most pleasure in working with -- they obviously care not only about the environment, but also about spreading the message and the films across many different facets of the community. My film has definitely gone further through Planet in Focus than with any other festival I've been in thanks to their numerous community screenings, and they've always been very considerate of the filmmakers. I'm continually amazed by how much they do for the films, the filmmakers, and the public.

I am very grateful for your believing our work and helping us to go forward with the work. Thanks for Planet in Focus being one of the first film festivals inviting our documentary. The experience and atmosphere was encouraging us to continue distribution and today the film has been invited film festivals around the world. Planet in Focus is making great work creating the global consciousness needed today.

Planet In Focus was a powerful experience for me as a film-maker working in French with English subtitles, as not all festivals are willing to cross the linguistic divide with creators so generously. I was impressed with the unity of spirit and environmental values the festival showcased; I felt very much like I was part of a very much global movement for change, from the Saami wilds of my Arctic neighbours, to budding environmentalism from Singapore, to community reconciliation amongst Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal lobster fishers in Nova Scotia...it was a very powerful experience! See you on your bikes!

It was a great pleasure being in the festival. Especially I liked the diversity of approaches to environment and nature and the very different backgrounds of filmmakers from passionate cyclisist, ethnic minorities to cultural anthropologists. I think the big scale in both shows how in the end environmental protection is about empathy. Empathy to all kind of living creatures human included. Planet in Focus shows in a beautiful way, how environment and nature should be regarded as something holistic and something that is part of us and that we are part of. We need to redefine the humans place in the world both philosophically/in the worldview and in the actions of individuals and politics. I liked Toronto very much. And of course, nothing would be possible without the warm and welcoming people who made the festival possible. Thank you Candida, Myan, Kim, Anne, Andrew, Kirk and Karilynn!
